Why go to Ehrwald?

In winter, a convivial and versatile ski area, perfect for families. In summer, beautiful surroundings and many activities.

The bus stop is less than a minute's walk that takes you to the ski slopes of Ehrwald, Lermoos and Biberwier, or a few minutes' walk to the Wettersteinbahn with children's ski school. Restaurants and supermarket are around the corner.

Activities

At Ehrwald there is plenty to do in both winter and summer

Located at 1,000 m, Ehrwald is an eldorado for mountain enthusiasts with hikes in the valley, extensive alpine tours or high alpine tours. Ski resort Ehrwald is a winter sports destination for the whole family, with varied ski runs from easy blue to challenging red, some black runs and several snowparks.

Winter sports

A versatile ski area, for both beginners and advanced skiers many varied slopes and with the Zugspits always snow-sure.

Mountain biking

Mountain bike tours with (mountain) bike rental in the village (1-minute walk from Chic).

Walking

There are over 150 hikes from the mountain station including to Ehrwalder Almsee, Seebensee, Drachensee, Gatterl tour and, for the kids, an Almsee Walk.

Mountain activities

With Germany's highest mountain nearby, there are many activities to do such as canyoning or ravine hiking and Paragliding

Swimming

There are several crystal-clear lakes, waterfalls; Heiterwanger See with Plansee, Blindsee, Mittersee, Weissensee, Seebensee and Drachensee by extension.

Culinary

There are also plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Enjoy the Austrian hospitality!

The Zugspits

Take the cable car to the Zugspitze at 2962 metres high. The Zugspitze can be reached from both Germany and Austria. At the top of the Zugspitze is a panoramic platform with fantastic views.

Other activities

Paddling, summer toboggan run, tennis, golf course, mini-golf, climbing hall and 3D archery course.

For both children and adults, the area lends itself perfectly to learning. Ski schools and plenty of blue runs are available!

Separate ski room

In our apartment complex we offer a separate ski room where you can warm your boots and there is space for skis and/or bikes.

In Ehrwald, you have a choice of two types of ski passes; the 'Ehrwald-Lermoos-Biberwier' ski pass gives you access to all the small areas. With the top snowcard, you have access throughout the Zugspitz Arena. See here the rates.

A total of 65 km of excellently groomed slopes are available in Ehrwald. The cross-country skiing area is directly accessible from Ehrwald and has 110 km of trails, including a 10 km trail at 1,500 m.

Long winter hiking trails, an artificial ice rink and a toboggan run complete the holiday offer in Ehrwald.

Wasserfal erlebnisweg

The water adventure trail "Zugspitzi am Gaisbach", along the Gaisbach stream, is a tour for children and teaches them about the flora and fauna. Meanwhile, while you enjoy the beautiful surroundings and the hike, the kids keep themselves busy with a fun scavenger hunt.

Tiroler Zugspitzbahn

In summer, you'll enjoy stunning views at 2900m altitude! You might be lucky if there's still some snow.... In winter, you have beautiful slopes here and are almost always sure of snow!

Ehrwalder Almsee

A beautiful swimming lake, part of a nice walk. Here you can enjoy the peace and quiet by taking a seat on the well-maintained benches.
